Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Conduct inspections, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems present on the premises.
· Ensure the upkeep of all lighting fixtures throughout the hotel.
· Oversee the maintenance of all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units.
· Manage the maintenance of motors, belts, bearings, and related components.
· Maintain all shop tools and equipment in proper working condition.
· Diagnose and repair any non-operational equipment.
· Perform welding tasks as necessary.
· Address all work orders related to hotel operations.
· Respond to all service calls and carry out repairs; if repairs cannot be completed, promptly inform the duty engineer of the issue.
· Conduct chemical testing for boilers, chillers, swimming pools, and similar systems.
· Participate as a member of the fire response team and remain on standby for emergencies.
Execute preventative maintenance as scheduled by the engineering coordinator or duty engineer.
· Ensure an adequate inventory of parts and materials is maintained in the maintenance shop.
Innovatively resolve electrical and mechanical issues to ensure machinery remains operational.
· Monitor utility meter readings and report any discrepancies.
Perform daily inspections of all plant rooms and workshops, reporting any irregularities.
· Complete daily engineering operation checklists to confirm that equipment is functioning properly.
· Inspect all lighting areas to ensure they are operational as per design specifications.
· Maintain inventory of materials in the store and notify the coordinator or duty engineer when items need to be ordered.
· If any issues remain unresolved due to a lack of materials, inform the coordinator to procure the necessary items and provide detailed specifications and images of the required parts.
· Record daily productivity in the designated logbook and submit it to the duty engineer for validation.
· Provide a thorough handover to the next shift, detailing any pending issues or significant work updates.
· Regulate the temperature in public areas as directed by the duty engineer.
· Maintain the chemical parameters and temperature of both the adult and children's pools as instructed by the duty engineer, reporting any abnormalities.
· Acknowledge and address complaints within the specified time frame.
· To ensure that the work done by subordinates is according to specified standard.
· To abide by the rules of the Hotel and act as an example to others.
· To come up with suggestion that may help to improve the maintenance and performance of system.
· To carry out any other relevant tasks that are assigned.
· To undergo training of intersection of Engineering Department
