WeSports is a leading sports hall contracting company based in Dubai.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team.
About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Accountant to manage all aspects of our financial accounting and reporting.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, complying with UAE VAT regulations, and contributing to the overall financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
· Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
· Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes and prepare timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
· Ensure strict compliance with UAE VAT regulations: prepare and file timely VAT returns, maintain appropriate documentation, and handle VAT audits.
· Process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UAE labour laws.
· Monitor cash flow, prepare budgets, and forecasts, and provide insightful financial analysis to management.
· Manage the end-to-end Corporate Tax compliance process, including preparation of calculations, completing tax returns, and ensuring timely filings.
· Maintain comprehensive documentation for tax audits and assist in handling communications with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).
· Reconcile intercompany transactions and accounts.
· Maintain and update fixed asset registers and manage depreciation schedules.
· Assist with internal and external audit processes.
· Implement and improve accounting processes and internal controls for efficiency and accuracy.
· Stay updated on changes in local financial regulations and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) is a strong advantage.
· Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within the UAE/GCC region.
· In-depth, hands-on knowledge of UAE VAT laws and filing procedures is essential.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, Tally, Zoho Books) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting (IFRS).
· Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
· Fluency in English is required.
Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage but not mandatory.
