Job Summary/Mission

As an AI Solution Architect at GovDigital AI Factory, you will be a pivotal leader in conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the implementation of advanced AI solutions, with a strong emphasis on Generative AI technologies.

You will translate complex government challenges and business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure AI architectures.

You will be instrumental in guiding the technical direction for AI projects, ensuring the strategic application of cutting-edge GenAI tools and methodologies to deliver transformative government services.

You will collaborate extensively with Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Data Scientists, AI/ML Engineers, Data Engineers, and Software Engineers to build impactful AI-powered products benefiting the citizens, residents, and visitors of Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

·     Lead the architectural design and development of sophisticated AI solutions, with a primary focus on Generative AI applications, including those leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), photo-realistic diffusion models, and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs).

·     Define and implement end-to-end solution architectures for AI systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and seamless integration with existing government technology ecosystems.

·     Champion the use of state-of-the-art GenAI frameworks and tools such as Langchain, LlamaIndex, LangSmith, LangFlow, LangGraph and other specialized GenAI libraries for rapid prototyping and production deployment.

·     Architect and oversee the development of robust data pipelines for training, fine-tuning, and evaluating GenAI models, working with complex and sensitive government datasets.

·     Design and implement strategies for deploying, monitoring, and managing AI/ML models in production, with a focus on MLOps and AIOps practices for GenAI solutions, utilizing tools like Kubeflow, MLflow, and Airflow.

·     Provide expert guidance on the selection and integration of various database technologies, including relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), vector databases (e.g., Milvus), and graph databases (e.g., Neo4j) to support advanced AI and GenAI capabilities.

·     Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define problem statements, architect innovative AI solutions, and ensure the successful delivery and adoption of AI-powered systems.

·     Stay at the forefront of the latest advancements in AI, particularly in Generative AI, evaluating and recommending new technologies, tools, and techniques to enhance our AI capabilities.

·     Ensure all AI solutions adhere to ethical guidelines, transparency principles, and government regulations, implementing robust AI safeguard strategies.

·     Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·     Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex architectural issues related to AI/ML models and pipelines in production environments.

Qualifications/Skills

·     Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field.

·     Proven experience (ideally 5+ years) as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or similar role, with a significant focus on designing and implementing AI/ML and GenAI solutions in production environments.

·     Deep understanding and extensive hands-on experience in architecting solutions using a broad spectrum of Generative AI models and techniques, including practical application of LLMs (e.g., retrieval augmented generation, fine-tuning), diffusion models, and GANs.

·     Strong expertise in GenAI frameworks and tools such as Langchain, LlamaIndex, LangSmith, LangFlow, LangGraph and other specialized GenAI libraries.

·     Demonstrable experience in designing and deploying AI pipelines using orchestration, deployment, and monitoring tools (e.g., Kubeflow, MLflow, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes), with a strong emphasis on security and scalability for GenAI applications.

·     Proficiency in Python and a strong understanding of software engineering best practices.

·     Solid understanding of data engineering principles and experience architecting solutions for large, complex datasets, including experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure).

·     In-depth knowledge of various database systems, particularly vector databases (e.g., Milvus) and their application in GenAI solutions (e.g., semantic search, RAG, Knowledge Gaphs).

·     Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into innovative and scalable AI architectures.

·     Outstanding communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex AI architectural concepts to diverse audiences.

·     Hands-on experience with distributed training and efficient inference techniques for large-scale GenAI models, particularly on on-premise GPU infrastructure.

·     A proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous learning and staying at the cutting edge of AI and GenAI advancements.

Bonus Points

·     Proven experience implementing and leveraging AIOps practices and tools within a production environment, especially for GenAI systems.

·     Specific familiarity with the unique challenges and opportunities within the government sector or relevant industry domains within Abu Dhabi.

·     Hands-on experience with distributed training and efficient inference techniques for large-scale GenAI models.

·     Contributions to the open-source AI/ML community (especially in GenAI) or publications in relevant AI/ML conferences or journals.
