Application Delivery Specialist



Job description

The Applications Delivery Specialist is responsible for the successful deployment, integration, and ongoing delivery of business applications within the corporate environment.

This role manages the end-to-end application delivery lifecycle, ensuring that solutions are implemented on time, within scope, and aligned with business requirements.

The Applications Delivery Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to coordinate releases, manage risks, and maintain high standards of quality and compliance throughout the delivery process.

Application Delivery Support & Quality Assurance

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


• Support Application Delivery: Assist in the end-to-end support of enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and deadlines.


• Quality Assurance Processes: Contribute to maintaining quality assurance processes, ensuring applications meet performance, reliability, and security standards.


• Deployment Assistance: Provide support during deployments, ensuring smooth execution with minimal disruption to business operations.


• Testing Strategy Implementation: Support comprehensive testing strategies to meet required quality standards and ensure application functionality.


• Automated Testing Support: Contribute to integrating automated testing tools for enhanced testing efficiency and accuracy.


• Documentation Creation: Maintaining detailed documentation for testing processes, deployment procedures, and issue resolution.

Operations Support & Incident Management

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


• Ongoing Application Support: Own day-to-day support, resolving technical issues quickly to ensure high availability and performance.


• Incident and Problem Resolution: Lead efforts in incident resolution, minimizing disruptions to business operations.


• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor application performance, suggest optimizations, and implement improvements.


• Root Cause Analysis: Conduct detailed root cause analysis for incidents and recommend preventative measures

Activity:

Stakeholder Collaboration & Strategic Alignment

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


• Engage with Stakeholders: Collaborate with business, domain archetict and technical stakeholders to ensure applications delivering as per business expectations


• Support Strategic Initiatives: Provide technical insights to align application delivery with strategic business goals.


• User Feedback Incorporation: Collect and analyze feedback to inform ongoing improvements and enhancements.


• Customer Satisfaction: Ensure applications and services meet customer needs and expectations, monitoring satisfaction levels and addressing concerns promptly


• Change Management: Ensure proper communication and training are provided during application changes or upgrades to ensure user adoption and satisfaction.

Vendor Management & External Applications Collaboration:

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


• Vendor Performance Monitoring: Oversee vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs, ensuring service standards are met.


• Work with External Applications Managed Services Delivery Manager: Collaborate with external managed services teams to ensure the smooth delivery of services and alignment with business needs.


• Reporting to Governance: Provide regular reports on vendor performance and recommend corrective actions as needed.


• Contract Review & Negotiation: Support contract review and negotiation processes to optimize vendor agreements and service quality.


• Risk Mitigation: Identify and address risks related to vendor dependency and ensure continuity of services

Applications Handover, Utilization, and Renewals

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


• Applications Handover Governance: Lead the smooth transition of applications from development to operational support, ensuring all documentation, knowledge, and resources are transferred effectively.


• Post-Handover Monitoring: Monitor applications closely after handover, ensuring stability and addressing any emerging issues.


• Utilization Monitoring and Reporting: Track application usage and generate detailed reports on performance, identifying areas for optimization.


• Applications Renewals Tracking: Ensure Track application lifecycle milestones, renewals, and licensing to ensure continued service and compliance.

Additional Technical Requirements:

  1. Candidate should have background in consulting and solutioning in the domain of process automation, systems integration, forms automation

  2. Must have experience of working in energy or similar industry

  3. Must have experience of working in UAE or middle east.

  4. Hands-on experience on low code no code platform, and willing to learn new skills

  5. Diversified knowledge of technology and tools such as Java, .Net, SQL

  6. Experience of enhancing and supporting commercial of the shelf (COTS) products

  7. Deployment & troubleshooting experience on app servers like WebLogic, Tomcat, IIS

  8. Capability to reverse engineering from code in case required.

Education and Experience -

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent

8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
