The Arts Instructor for Project and Stage Management (Open Rank) works with the Arts Team to manage special projects and rehearsal rooms across the arts divisional programs within the Division of Arts and Humanities at NYUAD.
Disciplinary depth in stage management and live performance is required.
Still these skills may be applied to activities as diverse as symposiums interactive media installations visual arts projects and theater projects and events.
The Arts Instructor will also mentor and advise students on stage management for all student-led and classroom projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to areas such as : stage management development of best practices writing rehearsal and project reports providing academic support and general support as needed.
Additionally as a professional stage manager the Arts Instructor lends mentorship and oversight to the other curricular extracurricular and co-curricular projects born out of the Arts and Humanities Division as needed and planned.
This is an expansive role : We are looking for a professional stage manager who is capable of taking their work (and transliterating it) to other programs and areas within the division.
This is a 12-month 35-hour-per-week full-time position for a duration of three years with the possibility of renewal.
We encourage applicants with professional experience in stage management and teaching stage management.
Applicants with a degree in stage management or with substantial professional experience are preferred.
