Role Overview
We're looking for a skilled and motivated
Backend Developer
to take ownership of building and maintaining the systems that power our website.
As a key member of our tech team, you'll design, implement, and optimize backend services that ensure our platform is reliable, scalable, and secure.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and building technology that directly supports a seamless web experience in a fast-moving startup environment.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain backend logic, APIs, and databases for our website.
- Ensure website performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate features smoothly.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend code.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and feature planning.
- Stay up to date with backend technologies and best practices for web platforms.
What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of backend development for web applications , Python, or similar).
- Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Knowledge of API design, RESTful services, and integrations.
- Familiarity with version control (Git).
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with hosting and deployment for websites (AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar).
- Knowledge of authentication, web security practices, and scalability.
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, or containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Previous experience in a startup or student tech projects.
