Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery, programming, and quality control.
This role involves working with various CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
The CNC Operator will play a crucial part in ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Duties
- Operate CNC machines including CNC lathe and CNC milling machine to produce precision parts.
- Set up and adjust machine tools as necessary for optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications.
- Perform CNC programming and CAM programming to create machining instructions.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure product accuracy.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to maintain compliance with GD&T standards.
- Collaborate with team members on the assembly line for materials handling and fabrication tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols in the manufacturing facility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process.
- Operate hand tools, press brake machines, stamping presses, and welding equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating Fanuc systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Familiarity with SolidWorks and other CAD software for design purposes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of tooling, machining processes, and factory operations.
- Experience with quality control practices and basic math skills for measurements.
- Ability to work effectively in an assembly line setting while managing materials handling tasks.
- Forklift certification is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is essential.
- Previous experience with flexo presses or similar machinery is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
