Job description

Job Title: Document Controller


Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Document Controller to manage and maintain all project and administrative documentation for an esteemed Billionaire Engineering client in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate will ensure that all documents are properly stored, version-controlled, and easily retrievable, supporting smooth communication across departments and compliance with company standards.


Responsibilities
-------------------

  • Create, organize, and manage both physical and digital documents
  • Set up and maintain a document hierarchy and filing systems
  • Review and update existing documents to ensure they are current, accurate, and compliant
  • Check and edit incoming documents and manage version control
  • Perform audits to confirm documents accurately reflect recorded evidence
  • Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders and departments
  • Manage document access to ensure the right people have the right version at the right time
  • Respond to and log document requests for retrieval
  • Create and manage a system for storing and tracking documents
  • Ensure the security and safe storage of all documentation
  • Compile records and generate reports on document status, revisions, and distribution
  • Work closely with managers, project leaders, and other team members


Requirements


  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a Document Controller in construction, engineering, or facility management
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and document management systems (DMS)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
