Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai for a Document Controller for Cabota Group.
The personnel manages and organises all project documents, such as drawings, contracts, and specifications, to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance throughout a project's lifecycle.
They establish and enforce procedures for creating, reviewing, and distributing documents, often using a centralised digital platform, which supports timely information flow between stakeholders, minimises errors, and maintains version control to keep projects on track.
Key Responsibilities:
 Manage and control all project documents, including drawings, contracts, reports, correspondence, and permits.
 Maintain a centralised filing system (physical and electronic) ensuring easy retrieval and security of documents.
 Track document revisions, issue numbers, and approvals.
 Distribute and archive project documentation to relevant stakeholders.
 Ensure compliance with company standards and client document control procedures.
 Coordinate with project teams to gather and update documents timely.
 Assist in preparation and submission of project reports and compliance documentation.
 Support audits by providing organised document access.
 Use Document Management Systems (DMS) for uploading, tagging, and version control.
 Generate daily, weekly, or monthly document status reports as required.
Qualifications:
 Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information
Management, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience as a Document Controller
, preferably in
construction or engineering
projects.
 Good understanding of document control processes and standards (ISO 9001 is a plus).
 Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
 High attention to detail and accuracy.
 Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Software Knowledge:
Document Management Systems
: Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, or similar 
Microsoft Office Suite:
Word, Excel, Outlook 
PDF Tools:
Adobe Acrobat for document editing and management
