About the Project
Our Crazy Code, in collaboration with Google (GDG), is organizing a large-scale student innovation challenge.
We are looking for a highly skilled individual developer to design and develop a modern, animated, and fully functional event website within a tight timeline.
Responsibilities
- Develop a
Landing Page
with event introduction, challenge details, and clear call-to-action.
- Build a
Registration Portal
allowing students to register individually or in teams, upload solutions/videos.
- Create a
Leaderboard Section
to dynamically display shortlisted projects.
- Implement
User Roles
(Admin, Student, Guest dashboards).
- Integrate
Live Sessions
(YouTube/Google Meet/Zoom).
- Design and deliver a
modern, animated UI/UX
that is professional, youth-focused, and aligned with Google/GDG standards.
- Develop a
backend system
for submission management, judging criteria, and selections.
- Add a
Sponsorship & Partner Section
to highlight sponsors/partners.
- Set up
hosting and domain
for complete deployment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in
full-stack web development
.
- Strong knowledge of
frontend frameworks , Angular, or similar)
.
- Expertise in
backend development , Django, or similar)
with database integration.
- Experience with
secure file uploads, user authentication, and dashboards
.
- Ability to deliver
responsive, animated, and modern UI/UX
.
- Familiarity with
video/live stream integrations (YouTube, Meet, Zoom APIs)
.
- Strong project management skills to
deliver within 1–2 weeks
.
- Portfolio/examples of
previous high-standard websites
(mandatory).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
(or final year student) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- Additional certifications in
Web Development / Cloud / UI-UX
are a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with
Google Cloud / Firebase
.
- Prior work on
hackathon/event platforms
.
- Understanding of
GDG/Google community standards
.
