Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Oracle DBA with HCM Support/Implementation, located in Abu Dhabi.
The Oracle DBA will be responsible for the administration, management, and support of Oracle databases.
Daily tasks include performing routine database maintenance, replication, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring database security.
The role also involves coordinating with other teams to ensure the smooth implementation and support of HCM solutions.

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle E-Business Suite Database Administrator (DBA) to support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Oracle EBS environment for the HRMS implementation project.
The role covers the application, database, and middleware tiers, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across environments, including ECC (Enterprise Command Center) enablement and Disaster Recovery (DR) setup.
The DBA will work closely with functional, technical, and infrastructure teams to ensure a stable and compliant environment aligned with UAE public sector standards.
Key Responsibilities
Environment Setup & Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite R12.x (application and database tiers).
- Manage and monitor Oracle Databases, Application Servers, and Middleware components.
- Perform environment cloning between Development, Test, UAT, and Production systems.
- Configure and maintain Enterprise Command Center (ECC) components for HR dashboards.
- Manage patches, upgrades, and environment refreshes as per project plan.
- Implement and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) setup, including replication and failover strategies.
Database Management
- Perform database creation, backup, recovery, and tuning activities.
- Manage RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and OEM for optimal performance and high availability.
- Implement and monitor database security, user access, and auditing controls.
- Schedule and monitor concurrent programs and performance tuning for optimal batch execution (Payroll, Reports, etc.).
- Ensure data integrity during migration, cutover, and replication phases.
Application & Middleware Support
- Manage EBS application tiers, WebLogic, and Concurrent Manager configuration.
- Coordinate with technical teams for custom component deployment (RICEWF).
- Troubleshoot application performance issues and coordinate resolution across tiers.
- Support setup and synchronization of ECC dashboards (HR Command Center).
- Maintain environment documentation, configuration baselines, and change logs.
Disaster Recovery & Security
- Plan and implement DR infrastructure and regularly conduct DR drills.
- Ensure database and application backup policies are executed and verified.
- Implement data encryption, SSL configuration, and access control policies in compliance with security standards.
- Conduct proactive health checks, patch compliance verification, and performance audits.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 3 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, in Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) administration.
- Hands-on experience in EBS HCM environments (Core HR, Payroll, HRSS) preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Oracle Database (19c or later)
- Oracle Application Server & WebLogic
- RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM Cloud Control
- Linux/Unix administration for Oracle environments
- Experience with Enterprise Command Center (ECC) installation and configuration.
- Proven background in Disaster Recovery (DR) implementation and testing.
- Familiarity with EBS patching, cloning, and concurrent manager tuning.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or similar certification preferred.
