Role Purpose

Deliver expert
functional design and configuration
of Oracle Fusion
Projects Cloud (PPM)
—including Project Costing, Billing, Contracts, Control, Resource Management, and Project Performance Reporting—ensuring seamless integration with Finance, Procurement, HCM/Time, and SCM.

The role is hands-on (configure, test, migrate, train), not project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process & Solution Design
  • Run CRP workshops; capture To-Be processes for capital and contract projects (WBS/CBS, progress, variations/VOs, retention, advances, revenue recognition).

  • Produce
    BP/FD
    documents, configuration workbooks, RICEFW specs, test scripts, and SOPs.
  • Configuration (PPM)
  • Projects setup: business units, project/contract types, templates, tasks/workplans, transaction controls.

  • Costing & Rates:
    expenditure types/categories, burden schedules, cost rates, labor costing, overheads.

  • Billing & Revenue:
    billing methods/plans, events, invoice formats, revenue methods (incl.

    IFRS 15), funding, agreements, multi-currency, retention & milestones.

  • Contracts:
    customer contracts, funding rules, performance obligations; intercompany/cross-charge.

  • Budgets & Forecasts:
    planning resources, budget versions, baseline/controls, KPI dashboards.

  • Time & Expenses:
    time entry options, approvals, costing to projects, expense integration.

  • Security/AOR:
    role mapping, data access, segregation of duties for Projects users.

  • Integrations & Cross-Module Alignment
  • Align with Finance (GL/AP/AR/FA/CM)
    for accounting, CIP capitalization, asset creation.

  • Source/receive to projects via
    Procurement/Inventory
    ; HCM/Time for labor costing.

  • Support integrations (e.g.,
    Primavera P6/Aconex/EPM
    , payroll/time, data lake/BI).

  • Data Migration & Testing
  • Own FBDI/ADFdi migrations for projects, tasks, contracts/agreements, rates, budgets, opening balances.

  • Lead SIT/UAT, defect triage, cutover, and hypercare stabilization.

  • Reporting & Controls
  • Build OTBI/BI Publisher
    reports and dashboards; define reconciliations (ProjectsGL/AR/AP/FA).

  • Configure approvals/workflows and controls for auditability.

  • Enablement
  • Deliver key-user training, quick reference guides, and change-impact materials.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • At least 2 end-to-end Oracle Fusion Projects Cloud implementations
    in a functional consultant role.

  • 4–8 years
    total Oracle applications experience (Cloud PPM; EBS PPM a plus).

  • Deep hands-on expertise in
    Project Costing, Billing, Contracts, Control, Budgets/Forecasts
    , and
    Project Performance Reporting
    .

  • Solid understanding of
    accounting impacts
    , IFRS-15 revenue recognition, retention/advance handling, CIP→FA capitalization, and intercompany/cross-charge.

  • Practical experience with
    FBDI/ADFdi
    , OTBI/BI Publisher, and basic SQL for analysis.

  • Proven cross-module knowledge:
    GL/AP/AR/FA
    , Procurement/Inventory, HCM/Time.

  • Excellent documentation, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills.

  • Bachelor's in IT/Accounting/Engineering/Business (or equivalent).

Nice to Have

  • Industry exposure to
    Construction/Engineering/Real Estate/Professional Services
    .

  • Integrations with
    Primavera P6/Aconex/EPM Cloud
    .

  • Certifications:
    Oracle Cloud PPM Implementation Specialist
    ;
    PMP/PRINCE2
    (nice, not required).

Success Criteria (First 90 Days)

  • Signed-off
    To-Be
    and configuration workbooks for target PPM scope.

  • SIT-ready build for core flow:
    Time/Expense → Costing → Revenue → Billing → GL/FA
    .

  • Migrated pilot set (projects, tasks, rates, budgets) and two priority OTBI reports live.

  • UAT plan, scripts, and cutover checklist finalized.

  • Reports to:
    Applications Manager
  • Role Type: Functional Consultant (hands-on configuration)
    ; not a PM role.
