Job description

Position Overview

The Quality Manager will ensure that the company's products consistently meet food safety and quality standards.

This role is responsible for developing and overseeing quality systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading audits, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

The position also requires building strong collaboration across departments while managing and mentoring a team of quality professionals.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain a robust Quality and Food Safety Management System in line with global standards (HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, HALAL, FDA).

  • Create and update policies, SOPs, and quality manuals to reflect regulatory and operational requirements.

Auditing & Inspections

  • Plan and conduct internal audits, supplier assessments, and customer-driven reviews.

  • Coordinate regulatory inspections and ensure timely closure of any non-conformances.

  • Track and implement corrective actions arising from audits and inspections.

Documentation & Certification

  • Ensure accuracy and control of all food safety and quality documentation.

  • Maintain certifications such as ISO 9001:2015, HACCP, and HALAL, and ensure compliance at all times.

Leadership & Development

  • Supervise and support a team of quality professionals across multiple facilities.

  • Deliver training programs to enhance food safety awareness among staff.

Corrective & Preventive Measures

  • Investigate product complaints, supplier issues, and audit findings.

  • Implement effective CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes to eliminate recurring problems.

Customer Focus

  • Carry out customer satisfaction surveys on a scheduled basis.

  • Translate customer insights into actionable improvements in quality standards.

Health & Safety Integration

  • Uphold occupational health and safety requirements alongside quality initiatives.

  • Work closely with safety teams to ensure compliance with company policies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Production, Sales, Procurement, and Logistics to embed quality into daily operations.

  • Represent the company during external audits, certifications, and regulatory reviews.

Candidate Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within the food sector, preferably in processing industries.

  • Experience overseeing quality functions across multiple branches or facilities.

Education & Certifications

  • Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.

  • Professional certifications in HACCP, GHP, and Food Safety Standards.

  • Additional credentials such as:
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor
  • Internal Auditor Certification
  • FSSC 22000
  • HALAL & BRC Standards
