Our company is seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
About the Role:
The Java Developer role involves contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle including design, coding, testing, and release.
A strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient Java code and tests.
- Ensure designs are following specifications including code quality and code coverage.
- Prepare and produce releases of software components.
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of proven experience in Java development.
- Expertise in Java, Spring, JPA, JEE, Struts, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Hands-on deployment experience with AWS, JBOSS, WebSphere, and WebLogic servers.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with migration of legacy applications to microservices architecture on AWS Cloud.
- Proficiency in working with databases such as Oracle and DB2.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound experience in writing automated test cases using JUnit, Gherkin, and Cucumber
- Strong troubleshooting ability and technical analysis skills – performance optimization included.
- Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in Java or related technologies is a plus.
- Experience with cloud technologies, especially AWS, is advantageous.
