JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Senior Manager of Enterprise Architecture

Department: IT Operations & Business Systems

Division: Technology

Reporting to: VP IT Operations & Business Systems

ROLE PURPOSE:

Reporting to the VP IT Operations & Business Systems,the Senior Manager of Enterprise Architecture is responsible for leading andmanaging the Enterprise Architecture function in AD AIRPORTS.

The EA functionis responsible for designing our IT landscape, to ensure that it properlyaligns with the AD AIRPORTSs organizational structure and processes.

Mainduties of the role include developing ways to integrate AD AIRPORTSs ITsystems, creating and implementing enterprise architecture models and suggestingimprovements to the current internal functions and IT processes.

The role shallcoordinate a team of domain architects (business, information, solution,technical, security and other) from across the Technology division.

KEY ACCCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead the creation and evolution of the EAfunction, including the coordination of an appropriately balanced pursuit ofenterprise information systems, data, technical and solution architectureviewpoints, stakeholders, product owners and agile development teams.
  • Leads analysis of the business’ future-statecapabilities and future (and current) IT environment to detect criticaldeficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement to drive the businessforward and help guide investment decisions in support of executing businessstrategy.
  • Leads the analysis of business and operatingmodels, market trends and the technology industry to determine their potentialimpact on the enterprise’s business strategy, direction and architecture.
  • Tracks and applies innovative technologies,anchoring them in the business and operating model to assess their potential,and use agile and lean approaches to evolve and manage innovation.
  • Runs technology experiments to create newproducts and services and integrate the best of these into steady-stateoperations for the organization.
  • Facilitates business and IT alignment through acollaborative, supportive and consultative manner, driving the organization’sdigital business strategies and balancing innovation and growth.
  • Drive a more efficient and effective businessand IT operating model with significantly improved results (profitability,customer service, internal operations) through the integration of business andIT.
  • Presents gap analyses and/or IT investment roadmapsthat reflect the status of the existing IT estate, namely, its ability tocontribute to future-state business capabilities around ecosystems and digitalplatforms.
  • Lead the development of an implementation planfor the enterprise architecture based on business and IT strategy.
  • Lead all aspects of the EA function includingthe coordination of five domain level architects across the Technologydivision:
  • Business Architecture: Focused on guidingpeople, process and organizational change
  • Information Architecture: Focused on theconsistent sharing of information across the enterprise
  • Solutions Architecture: Focused on developing adirection for managing the portfolio of to-be solutions
  • Technical Architecture: Focused on evolving thetechnical infrastructure, including cloud
  • Security Architecture: Focused on managing ITrisk through the exchange of information between people, systems and thingsinside and outside the organization.
  • Work across the Technology division to develop atalent pool of domain architects, identifying critical skills, competencies andtraining needs to help them develop and progress in their careers.
  • Collaborates with infrastructure and projectteams to ensure consistency with the enterprise architecture, as well as toidentify when it is necessary to modify the enterprise architecture.
  • Collaborates with agile teams to ensureconsistency with the enterprise architecture, as well as to leverage sharedtechnologies, tools and processes that impact speed to value and time tomarket.
  • Develops and applies standards and minimalviable architectures through the EA governance model, which is informed by thebusiness strategy and corporate governance.

    Clarifies accountability andprovides the focal point for agile, effective and efficient EA decision making.
  • Identify the disruptive forces and the business’economic and financial levers that are susceptible to digital transformation toeffectively guide technology investment decisions.
  • Oversees EA implementation, continuousimprovement and ongoing refinement activities.
  • Assesses disruptive forces impacting theorganization and identifies technology-enabled innovation opportunities thatenables business strategy.
  • Provides advice to business leaders andorganizational stakeholders who seek actionable recommendations to makeinvestment decisions about the next business and operating model of theirorganization, using technology to make that change happen.
  • Leads and facilitates interaction with businessleaders and system owners in a business-driven conversation over the risks andimplications of technology decisions to the line of business, business unit andgreater enterprise.
  • Identifies organizational requirements for theresources, structures and cultural changes necessary to support the enterprisearchitecture.
  • Works with the CIO and IT leaders to find theright EA organizational design to drive business-outcomes.
  • Oversee EA implementation, continuousimprovement and ongoing refinement activities.
  • Oversee the documentation of all architecturedesign and analysis work.
  • Contribute to the overall IT strategy planningfor the next 5 years.
  • QUALIFICATION / EDUCATION

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business,computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysisor a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
  • Qualified on multiple Industry best practicessuch as TOGAF, COBIT, Lean Six Sigma, Scrum, ITIL, CMMi, ISMS, SMS and BCMSStandards.
  • EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ of business experience in strategic andoperations planning, applications, infrastructure, governance and managing bestpractices across the enterprise.
  • Ten or more years of experience in at leastthree disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technicalarchitecture, application development, middleware, information analysis,database management or operations in a multitier environment.
  • Knowledge of business models, operating models,financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management.
  • Understanding of the different types of agileprinciples, methodologies and frameworks, especially those designed to bescaled at the enterprise level.
  • Understanding of disruptive forces and thebusiness’s economic and financial levers that are susceptible to digitaltransformation to effectively guide technology investment decisions.
  • Understanding of existing, new and emergingtechnologies, and processing environments.
  • Organizationally savvy, and understanding of thepolitical climate of the enterprise and how to navigate
  • Balance long-term and short-term implications ofEA related decisions.
  • Translate business needs into EA requirements.
  • Estimate the financial impact of EAalternatives.
  • Apply multiple solutions to business problems.
  • Rapidly comprehend the functions andcapabilities of new technologies.
  • Ready to think, behave and act in an innovativeconsulting manner to drive the organization’s digital business strategies.
  • Understand and speak the language of thebusiness.
  • Ability to use MS Teams proficiently.
  • Experience in aviation is an advantage.
