Senior Quantitative User Experience Researcher (Frontend) – Bangkok-based, relocation provided.

We are seeking a Senior UX Researcher with strong quantitative methods, experience in consumer-facing products, and a track record of turning research into strategic impact.
This role requires both quantitative and qualitative research skills, storytelling to diverse stakeholders, and the ability to influence product decisions with insights.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research end-to-end for high-impact initiatives, guiding collaboration with product teams to achieve goals.
- Initiate research efforts aligned with product verticals and long-term business objectives.
- Formulate programs of study and knowledge sharing aligned with team strategy.
- Lead cross-stakeholder research projects and mentor others in research techniques.
- Evaluate and select research methodologies, balancing pros and cons for high-quality execution.
- Describe user problems and opportunities to stakeholders using quantitative and qualitative data.
- Demonstrate critical thinking beyond initial business requests; communicate findings effectively.
Qualifications
- Masters Degree or PhD, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, Social Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in consumer-facing domains.
- Expertise in quantitative research (log analysis, metrics triangulation, survey design, sampling, crosstabs, statistical concepts).
- Experience with qualitative methods and user-centered design (interviews, diary studies, observation, think-aloud usability testing).
- Comfortable planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing, and communicating research.
- Experience evaluating and working with external research vendors.
- Ability to articulate user problems and business opportunities to diverse stakeholders using data.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills in English.
- Collaborative work ethic in a data-driven, creative environment.
Research & Collaboration Skills
- Evaluate research opportunities, especially ambiguous requests, and propose solid projects or programs.
- Excellent project execution with exploration of alternative methods and mixed-method approaches.
- In-depth understanding of quantitative and qualitative methods and their appropriate application.
- Deep domain expertise (e.g., pricing), user type, or method, serving as a go-to expert.
- Triangulation of findings across methods to ensure depth of insight.
- Apply secondary research and expert review to maximize value and efficiency.
- Familiarity with tools for surveys, diary studies, analysis, and GDPR/data ethics relevant to research activities.
Communication & Collaboration
- Drive cross-disciplinary collaboration through research insights.
- Collaborate with other researchers and disciplines with a shared ownership mindset.
- Tailor communication to different audiences; concise and open to feedback.
- Contribute to standards of research excellence across the organization.
