Parsons is looking for a **Senior Rail Communications Systems Engineer** who will be responsible for the design and implementation of the communication systems.

Active and Passive Networking Systems, Virtualization Environments, On-board Passenger and Communications Systems, Radio Systems, Data and Voice Recording Systems, Communications SCADA systems on a Metro rail project.

This role involves ensuring that all communication systems meet project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.

The Senior Communications Engineer/Specialist will work closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver reliable and efficient communication solutions for rail operations.

In this role you will get to provide technical direction for various phases of a significant rail and transit program to assure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations.

**What You'll Be Doing:**

+ Strong understanding of Communications sub-systems and extensive experience of their implementation on a large rail infrastructure program.
+ Ensure adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethical, and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
+ Review and approval of the complete design of the communication systems for rail project, including Active and Passive Networking Systems, Virtualization Environments, On-board Passenger and Communications Systems, Radio Systems, Data and Voice Recording Systems, Communications SCADA systems.
+ Review and approval of technical specifications, design drawings, and documentation for the communication systems.
+ Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of communication systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
+ Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of communication systems with other rail infrastructure.
+ Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
+ Coordinate with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and service providers, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
+ Ensure development and implementation of maintenance plans for communication systems to ensure their reliability and performance.
+ Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
+ Stay updated with the latest advancements in communication technologies and industry best practices.
+ Identify opportunities for improving communication systems and propose innovative solutions.
+ Lead technical excellence on the project.
+ Monitor and report to management on the progress of all project activities, including significant milestones and any conditions that could affect project cost or schedule.
+ Work with key project staff, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to devise and execute action plans to address potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
+ Complete other responsibilities associated with the position as may be appropriate.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field from an accredited institution.
+ Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
+ Minimum of 15 years of experience in designing and implementing communication systems for rail or transportation projects.
+ Proficiency in communication system design tools and software.
+ Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to rail communication systems.
+ GCC experience is preferred.
+ Experience on large Rail Infrastructure program is a must.
+ Must have experience in Client Interfacing roles.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.
+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
+ Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of support function problems.
+ Ability to function in a multi-organizational environment by developing relationships that complies with the client’s proactive, collaborative culture.
