IT Specialist Role Overview 
The IT Applications Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving the design, analysis, implementation, and ongoing support of software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems within an organization.
- This involves spearheading the development of application software, creating models, analyzing requirements and specifications, and ensuring the setup of reliable hosting environments.
 - The role also encompasses application security and efficiency, providing technical user support and training for application systems, managing ongoing business Change Requests to application functionalities, monitoring system performances, and serving as a Database Administrator.
  
Key Responsibilities:  
- DATABASE ADMINISTRATION : Perform database administration duties, including performance tuning, monitoring, installation, configuration, upgrades, backup, restore, and investigative troubleshooting for company ERP systems and applications such as Oracle e-Business Suite TRAX AIMS etc.
 - BACKUP AND DISASTER RECOVERY : Design, develop, test, and execute backup and disaster recovery solutions for applications and databases, incorporating storage devices like disks and tape drives in coordination with Storage and System Administrators.
 - CUSTOMIZATION AND DEVELOPMENT : Implement, maintain & support Oracle EBS HRMS Payroll and recruitment modules customizations, writing Fast Formulas, New Element definitions etc.
 - SUPPORT AND TRAINING : Develop, maintain, test, and document custom software scripts, reports, and integrations using reliable methodologies.
Provide users with functional and technical support on ERP systems and databases.
  
Requirements and Qualifications  
- Fundamental knowledge of Oracle EBS HR & Payroll functional and DBA experience.
 - Preferred: Oracle EBS HR & Payroll functional certifications, Oracle developer certified professional, Oracle and SQL Database Administration certifications, Oracle cloud architect.
