Position

We currently have an opportunity for a talented Solutions Engineer (SE) to join our Dubai organization.

This is a sales and technical role with focus on customer/partners and is part of the sales organization.

The SE’s primary responsibility is to support the sales team with technical skills and provide technical knowledge around F5 solutions.

We provide training and certification to keep abreast with these critical skills.

High-Level Objective

The high-level objective is to achieve the allocated sales target and sell relevant F5 solutions and products to our customers’ business needs in partnership with the Sales Account Manager.

From our customer’s perspective, the SE is a trusted adviser who proactively learns and understands their technical and business challenges and can propose effective solutions to mitigate their concerns and offer gainful F5 SE value.

Not only presents the technical features but also business benefits in the Technical Value Proposition.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold F5s Business Code of Ethics and promptly report violations or other company policies.

  • Global responsibilities:
    • Provide complex design and systems engineering configurations.

    • Partner with product development and product management on Change Requests (CR) and Customer Special Requests (CSR).

    • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge of F5 and the relevant industry.

    • Utilize the F5 Sales Strategy and Solution Messaging to identify solutions for customer objectives.

    • Develop and support presentations for customers and partners; articulate technical elements of the F5 value proposition.

    • Maintain knowledge of competitive landscape and share with the CAT team.

    • Contribute to case studies, white papers, and media articles for customers/partners.

    • Foster a collaborative, team-based environment and build lasting relationships.

    • Negotiate and pursue conflict resolution; utilize SE tools and partner with sales on account profiles.

    • Understand and utilize F5 organizational resources; provide world-class pre-sales, implementation, and post-sales service.

    • Lead strategic opportunities; deliver customized product presentations; proactively provide consultative support.

    • Create customer documentation for POC; understand requirements for technical account strategy; work with Engineering, Product Development, and Technical Support.

    • Solve problems independently and creatively; perform other duties as assigned.

Channel and Post-Sales

  • Channel support: support channel partner sales initiatives, provide training and technical oversight, collaborate to qualify partners’ ability to sell F5 solutions.

  • Post-sales: follow escalation processes; partner with F5 Technical Support and customers/partners to resolve issues.

Qualifications

  • Multiple years of related experience in Cloud/ Security, Application Delivery, Network Infrastructure, DevOps; SaaS, IaaS, or PaaS environments.

  • Strong presentation and pre-sales account management skills.

  • Significant pre-sales / Systems Engineering expertise.

  • BS/BA or equivalent work experience.

  • F5 core product experience or relevant experience with key competitor offerings.

  • In-depth industry knowledge and understanding of F5 technologies and solutions; strong written and oral communication skills.

  • First-class presentation skills; proficiency with MS Office or equivalent.

  • Fluent in Arabic and English (verbal and written).

  • Hybrid role based from our Dubai office; travel as required.
