**Job Description:**

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Structural Inspector** to join our team! In this role you will get to supervise and inspect the structural works related to the Project.

**What You'll Be Doing:**

+ Conducts inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications.
+ Performs inspection activities which may include the following: * Demolition of various structural elements, activities related to the construction of structures such as reservoirs, lifting stations landscaping structure, lagoons, swimming pools, substations, retaining walls, tunnels, bridges etc.
+ Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations, and writes daily diaries.
+ Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract.
+ Verifies only approved materials are incorporated in the work.
+ Performs labor compliance interviews and maintains as-built plans.
+ Recognizes potential conflicts, issues, and problems; identifies possible solutions and advises supervisor.
+ Collects, reviews, and files Certificate of Compliance, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), inspection tags, and other information relevant to the materials used.
+ Reports on installed quantities to verify applications for payment and change order work.
+ Coordinates work of subconsultants for surveying and material testing.
+ Assists with the development of job safety practices and reports.
+ Supports the creation of quality control procedures and reports.
+ Responds to the call backs in case of emergency at the project site.
+ Documents nonconformance and may participate in determining appropriate resolution.
+ May provide technical guidance to lower-level inspectors.
+ Performs work in safe manner and is cognizant of public safety.
+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Diploma or bachelor degree in civil engineering or related field, or equivalent
+ 5+ years of work experience in the capacity of structural inspector within the region
+ Knowledge of public works contracts and construction related processes
+ Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
+ Effective math skills including knowledge of engineering calculations, graphs, and charts
+ Knowledge of basic computer applications to include; Microsoft Office, Project Management Software, and internet search engines (like Google or equivalent)
+ Ability to understand and comply with project requirements as applicable based on client and industry standards
+ Effective diary and reporting skills
+ Knowledge of English grammar and composition
+ Understanding of scheduling
+ Ability to review progress pay estimates and extra work bills
+ Ability to recognize hazardous work conditions and take necessary action(s) to mediate the situation
+ Effective time management skills to proactively prepare for work assignment
+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to work cohesively in a team and/or dynamic work environment
+ Ability to use good judgement and work with others

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Authority Certification/approvals in related field and HSE trainings will be advantage.
+ Construction safety training, including 10 hours of OSHA training, is desired
