Role Overview We are seeking aTelecommunications Engineerwith a strong understanding of modern communication systems and a proactive, systems-thinking approach.
This role involves designing, maintaining, and optimizing telecom infrastructure and integrations that support both internal operations and product capabilities particularly where AI and automation intersect with telecommunications.
Design, implement, and maintaintelecom infrastructure, including VoIP, SIP systems, and call routing architectures.
Collaborate with product teams to integratetelephony featuresinto AI-enabled platforms (e.g., auto-dialers, call summarization, transcription pipelines).
Evaluate and optimize call quality, latency, and availability for real-time communication systems.
Deploy and managecloud-based telecom systems(e.g., Twilio, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or similar).
Develop monitoring and diagnostic tools for telecom-related metrics.
Participate in infrastructure scaling and automation efforts.
Document systems architecture and contribute to process improvements across the stack.
Requirements Bachelors degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Solid understanding ofVoIP protocols(SIP, RTP), PBX systems, and network optimization for voice/data.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar) and telecom APIs likeTwilio, Plivo, orVonage.
Proficient in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
Ability to work independently and take ownership ahigh agency mindsetis critical.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills inEnglish.
