Role Summary

Bybit is expanding its regulated treasury operations across multiple markets.

We are hiring a hands‑on Treasury Trader to join our Trading Operations Team.

This is a front‑office role responsible for the active, daily management of Bybit's global FX, Crypto, and liquidity positions.

You will execute trades to manage our currency and fiat‑to‑crypto exposures, optimise funding costs, and ensure seamless liquidity across our global network of banks, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), and exchanges.

You will monitor market risk and execute hedging strategies to protect the firm's balance sheet and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1.

Trading and Execution

• Execute FX (spot, forwards) and Crypto (spot) trades to manage the firm's balance sheet exposures and operational currency needs.
  
  
• Manage and optimise daily liquidity and cash positions across multiple currencies, banks, PSPs, and digital asset exchanges.
  
  
• Develop and maintain relationships with external liquidity providers, banks, and OTC desks to ensure access to deep liquidity and competitive pricing.
  
  
• Analyse and minimise transaction costs, including spreads, fees, and market slippage (TCA).

Risk and Exposure Management

• Actively monitor global FX and crypto market movements to identify, quantify, and hedge operational requirements.
  
  
• Ensure all trading activity is executed within established risk limits and adheres to internal controls and regulatory frameworks.
  
  
• Respond to daily liquidity and exposure alerts generated from client activity and operational flows.
  
  

3.

Collaboration and Strategy

• Collaborate closely with Treasury, Product, Operations, and Finance teams to forecast short‑term and long‑term liquidity and funding requirements.
  
  
• Provide market commentary, trade analysis, and strategic insights to senior management and the broader Treasury team.
  
  
• Work with the Product team to support new product launches and market expansions by establishing the necessary funding lines and FX execution strategies.
  
  
• Contribute to the automation of trading, hedging, and liquidity management processes in partnership with Data and Engineering teams.
  
  

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Treasury, FX Trading, or a Quantitative role.
  
  
• Direct, hands‑on experience executing FX (spot, swaps, forwards) and/or digital asset trades in a high‑volume environment.
  
  
• Understanding of global payment rails (e.g., SWIFT, SEPA), PSPs, and their impact on liquidity and settlement/float risk.
  
  
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make rapid, data‑driven decisions under pressure.
  
  
• Proficiency with trading platforms or trading metrics and market making.
  
  
• Strong analytical skills using Excel and SQL.
  
  Proficiency in Python for data analysis or strategy automation is a significant advantage.
  
  
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners.
  
  
• Experience in a high‑growth fintech or crypto brokerage environment.
  
  
• Experience managing liquidity across a complex, global entity structure.
  
  
• Familiarity with financial regulations and frameworks such as MiCA and PSD2.
  
  
• Professional fluency in Chinese & English.
  
  
• Proven experience in developing or implementing automated hedging and liquidity management strategies.
