Are you a skilled Aluminium Plater/Fabricator looking to make waves in the maritime industry We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in the United Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities:
•Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret ship design plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand the specifications for the construction of aluminium vessels.
•Fabrication and Assembly: Cut, shape, and assemble aluminium components and structures according to design requirements using specialized tools and equipment.
•Welding Expertise: Fabricate, weld, and fit aluminium panels, bulkheads, frames, and other structural elements to construct the hull and superstructure of the ship.
•System Installation: Install and fit out various systems and components to ensure the functionality of the vessel.
•Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure the construction process meets industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
•Collaboration: Work closely with naval architects, engineers, welders, and other tradespeople to coordinate the construction process and address technical challenges.
•Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment during the shipbuilding process.
Qualifications:
•Proven experience as an Aluminium Plater/Fabricator in shipbuilding.
•Proficient in reading and interpreting ship design plans and technical drawings.
•Expertise in cutting, shaping, and assembling aluminium components.
•Strong welding skills for fabricating structural elements.
•Knowledge of marine construction practices, regulations, and standards.
•Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
•Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
