As a Bartender, you will play a key role in creating a memorable experience for our members by crafting and serving high-quality beverages. You should have a passion for mixology, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eye for detail. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and soft drinks, while following established recipes and standards.Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons, taking drink orders, offering menu recommendations, and ensuring their overall satisfaction.Have a comprehensive knowledge of our beverage menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special promotions.Keep the bar area, equipment, and utensils clean and organized at all times, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.Monitor and manage bar inventory, including restocking supplies, ordering new stock, and minimizing waste.Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and maintain an organized cash drawer.Adhere to all local and state alcohol regulations, ensuring responsible service and verifying the legal drinking age of patrons.Collaborate with other staff members, including servers and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth operations and a positive customer experience.Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism and resolve them to the satisfaction of the guest and the establishment.
Skills & Qualifications:1 to 2 years of previous bartending experience, preferably in a fast paced, luxury restaurant, resort, or private club.Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and beverage presentation.Exceptional customer service and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure.Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.Must be of legal drinking age in the jurisdiction of employment.Extraordinary attention to detail, quality, and service.Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
