As a Cluster Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all areas of daily school finance operations across the cluster.

Key Accountabilities:
Partnering with the Cluster Principals, Cluster Leadership Team, CO Finance Team, Heads of Department, Other Cluster Managers, and Teachers to provide guidance and support across all areas of school finance.
Management of the school cluster finance teams (Accountants and Cashiers).
Main point of contact for parents for fee-related matters.
Ensure month end close deadlines and requirements are adhered too by school finance teams.
Ensure financial / tax controls are in place and compliant with company policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Provide data-driven insights and inputs for budgeting and planning to ensure accuracy and transparency across the cluster.
Prepare regular actual vs budget reports, and Key Performance Indicator reports for Principals and Group Finance Director to monitor financial performance.
Ensure that the Key Performance Indicators are pursued, monitored regularly and achieved for the finance areas of responsibility.
Support the Group Finance Director with the successful implementation of digital initiatives and intelligent automation as part of the broader finance digital strategy. Including optimization of the order-to-cash process to drive cashflows and minimize exposure to bad debts.
Ensure all audit requirements (internal and external) are completed within stipulated deadlines.
Attract and retain the right talent and skillset to transform school finance teams into business partners for principals and facilitate best practices across the cluster.
Other duties as expected and requested by the Group Finance Director.
What do we look for?
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
Qualified Accountant – CIMA, CA, ACCA, CPA
Experience:
3- 5 years post-qualification experience and a similar role in the education sector is preferable but not mandatory.
Experience in independent handling of Financials, Auditing and Budgeting is a must.
Experience of managing teams, internal assignments and project management is essential.
Solid ERP system experience.
Competencies:
Able to understand and interpret accounting implications and provide advice on various aspects.
Prioritization, time management and planning skills.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent skills in excel, power point and outlook.
Comfortable with being exposed to Senior Management, Principals and Auditors.
Excellent collaborative skills and ability to quickly establish effective relationships with key stakeholders.
A strong financial and commercial acumen, and the ability to easily analyze and interpret financial data.
Strong managerial skills with an ability to delegate and to lead confidently.
An analytical and commercial mindset.
Understanding and knowledge of key IFRS and taxes (including VAT) within the education sector.
Able to follow policy and implement project initiatives.
Strong problem-solving skills.
