Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Coastal Project Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to work on a variety of coasting engineering challenges on a major civil marine project in the United Arab Emirates.What You'll Be Doing:Perform coastal engineering analyses and designs through the application of coastal theoryPrioritize and accomplish multiple assignments efficiently and effectively with limited supervisionOrganize and interpret engineering data to prepare clear and concise engineering reports and technical documentationAssist in obtaining Relevant Authority project permits and perform compliance monitoring for permits (marine specific stakeholder management)Review and comment on project construction plans and specificationsPerform project construction observations, interpret contract documents, enforce contract specifications, and review submittals for accuracy, completeness and design consistencyEnsure conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and proceduresCommunicate with co-workers and clients in a professional manner including during meetings and presentationsCompletes additional duties as assigned.What Required Skills You'll Bring:BS degree in Coastal Engineering, plus 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.AutoCAD, MS 365 proficiencyGood communication skills in the English Language are expected.Possess strong technical and analytical skillsPrevious Marine Experience (5 years minimum)Advanced Knowledge of Marine Industry means and methods for civil engineeringAdvanced Knowledge of Marine Edge EngineeringWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:Masters Degree in Coastal Engineering PreferredAconex Experience PreferredReclamation, Quay Wall, Beach Formation, and Rock Revetment Experience is RequiredPrevious Experience in the MENA region on a Marine ProjectMinimum Clearance Required to Start:Not Applicable/NoneParsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
