Designation: Estimation Engineer

Position Overview: As an Estimation Engineer specializing in water and wastewater pumping stations
within the UAE, you'll be entrusted with the critical task of accurately assessing project costs and preparing
comprehensive bid proposals. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring the competitiveness and
success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Estimation:
• Prepare precise cost estimates for water and wastewater pumping station projects, meticulously
analyzing project specifications, drawings, and relevant information.
• Conduct thorough assessments of project requirements, including materials, labor costs, and subcontractor
bids.
2. Bid Preparation:
• Develop detailed bid proposals in response to tender invitations, ensuring strict adherence to project
requirements and specifications.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders to compile technical and commercial proposals, interpreting tender
documents comprehensively.
3. Technical Evaluation:
• Evaluate technical aspects of project requirements, such as pump selection, piping systems, and control
systems, ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards.
• Propose technically sound solutions that meet project objectives and quality standards.
4. Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination:

• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services
required for projects.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
5. Value Engineering:
• Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality or
performance.
• Propose alternative solutions or methodologies to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
6. Risk Assessment:
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential project risks and develop effective
mitigation strategies.
• Assess the impact of risks on project cost and schedule, incorporating risk allowances into cost estimates.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, bid proposals, correspondence, and project-related
documentation.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal management and client review.
8. Collaboration:
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure alignment
of cost estimates with project objectives and requirements.
• Actively participate in project meetings and discussions, providing valuable insights and
recommendations.
9. Continuous Improvement:
• Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to water and wastewater
pumping station projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of standardized
estimation procedures.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
