Job Description
At Electra, we are seeking talented individuals who align with our strategy to become the preferred contracting partner for local and international players looking to organize events within the GCC. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer/Estimation Manager, the Estimator will play a crucial role in supporting the CS Team by preparing quotations for tendering and job acquisition.
Responsibilities:Assess, understand, and review the use of different materials in fabrication, including cost variances and their impact on the final product.
Review visuals and drawings provided by Client Services and Design teams.
Measure quantities and categorize elements by type.
Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on drawings/information, including all assumptions and exclusions.
Price detailed BOQ using the Library of Knowledge or in collaboration with the fabrication estimator.
Collaborate with Project Management and Fabrication teams to devise cost-effective solutions that align with client budgets.
Ensure availability of all project-specific elements and coordinate with the Procurement department when necessary.
Maintain Electra's costing forms, templates, and Estimation database.
Efficiently prepare quotations within the ERP system, ensuring seamless integration for overall database management.Requirements:2-3 years of experience as an Estimator.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil/QS/Arch).
Proficiency in Microsoft, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.Skills and Competencies:Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
