Job Summary:
The Explosives specialist will be focusing on the R&D projects within the Munitions department that are oriented around energetic materials generally. Mainly preparing formulations, simulating them, prototyping, testing and qualifying all based on accepted international standards. Moreover, providing solutions to end users in other munitions teams and customers involving explosives risks and improvement. Finally, supervise and guide engineers within the team to become future specialists.
Key Accountabilities
Scope
Driven to perform both research and development on next-generation Explosives technologies as per end user requirement to fulfil project deliverables
Execute
Tackle Explosives risks and problems raised by Munitions team members throughout their development, design, and testing processes by providing solutions and implementing them
Supervise
Improving available technologies within the Explosives team by upgrading and optimizing current available engineering and chemical technologies and planning of futuristic technologies adoption.
Supervise
Lead Explosives based research and development projects by actively delivering newly in-house designed components
Supervise
Review and authorize Explosives drawings, specifications, accepting/rejecting testing and evaluation results, accepting/rejecting prototypes, HSE procedures, delivery plans, and QC requirement.
Execute
Study UAE market and cluster's requirement to plan R&D projects accordingly.
Supervise
Suggest relevant Explosives training tools to enhance the team's capabilities and skill development
Execute
Establish and maintain testing procedures for assessing raw materials and developed products
Supervise
Oversee complex research projects, analyse requirements, and provide recommendations of R&D and/or implementing solutions
Supervise
Follow up on R&D projects the team are engaged in.

Be present at industry conferences serving the R&D topics required

Highlight Explosives teams needs of technical and operational support to conduct R&D procedures
Execute
Maintain compliance with internal and international safety and military standards throughout the R&D procedures

Highlight vacancies within the E&P capabilities when missing a requirement
Support
Inform all relevant stakeholders such as logistics, warehouse, HSE, and Explosive Safety Manager during Explosives movement or procedures being conducted.
