About the job
Job Responsibilities:
Audit Planning and Strategy:
·Develop and implement an annual audit plan based on risk assessment and organizational priorities.
·Align audit activities with the organization's strategic objectives.
Audit Execution:
·Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial information, and compliance with policies and regulations.
·Review and analyze financial statements, processes, and operations for accuracy and compliance.
Risk Assessment:
·Identify and evaluate significant risks within the organization and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
·Ensure that the organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
·Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the organization.
Process Improvement:
·Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Report Generation and Communication:
·Prepare clear and concise audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and action plans.
·Communicate audit results to management and provide insights for decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement:
·Collaborate with key stakeholders, including management and external auditors, to address audit concerns and provide support.
Team Management:
·Supervise and mentor internal audit staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
Fraud Detection and Prevention:
·Identify and investigate potential fraudulent activities, taking appropriate action as necessary.
Qualifications
·Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field. A professional certification such as CIA (Mandatory), CISA, or CPA is preferred.
·5 - 7 years managerial experience in internal auditing.
·In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, and techniques.
·Strong understanding of financial and operational processes.
·Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
·Proficiency in audit software and tools.
·Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
·Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
· High ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
