What You Will DoConduct basic and routine laboratory and shop tasks such as (laboratory board making, product testing) housekeeping, sample testing, and recording process steps and data Ability to manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks in an organized and timely manner Weigh out raw materials to make laboratory scale gypsum boards and structural panels (OSB and Plywood) Support pilot plant trials to make gypsum boards this includes but is not limited to: weighing out 40 lb buckets of raw materials, weighing approximately 40 lb boards, recording process variables during and after pilot runs) Cut building materials and construct prototype wall and floor assemblies (as large as 8’ x 8’ in size) Follow SOPs to conduct routine testing to characterize materials/ prototypes and evaluate their properties Record weights and measurements in a Microsoft OneNote-based Electronic Laboratory NotebookWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Basic Qualifications:Ability lift to 40 pounds High school diploma with 1 or more years of laboratory experience OR construction experience Willingness to work in a hybrid laboratory and shop environment Reliable transportation and the ability to ensure regular attendanceWhat Will Put You AheadExperience weighing chemicals with balances Using power tools (i.e. table saw, miter saw, hand drill, etc.) Construction experience (i.e. building walls, adhering tiles, etc.)
