Lecturer - General Education Unit
The General Education Unit invites applications for a faculty position at the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer rank. Candidates should have a Master's degree in Arabic, Islamic, and Emirates (Gulf) studies or a relevant discipline, together with a minimum of three years of related experience for a lecturer position or eight years for a senior lecturer position at a recognized, top-tier institution.
Required Experience:
- Strong background in Arabic, Islamic, and UAE studies
- Experience teaching courses in both Arabic and English
- Experience in teaching online and in hybrid environments, both synchronous and asynchronous
- Excellent skills in creating tutorial videos, recorded lectures, and interactive multimedia teacher-student interface
- Strong background in innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and learning, especially pertaining to teaching technologies along with online and hybrid platforms
- Strong familiarity in using digital teaching tools and Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard
We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and tech-savvy Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join us. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of courses related to Arabic and Islamic studies, as well as Emirates studies. This position involves developing and delivering courses in different methods, including on-campus, online, and hybrid formats (both synchronous and asynchronous). Courses are delivered in both Arabic and English.
