Job Description
The QHSE Coordinator will provide technical and administrative support to the MEA regional function in: Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental inspection related tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities
QHSE Compliance
Interpret and implement Middle-East and Africa's QHSE regulations, standards, and guidelines within the company's operations. Regularly review and update policies and procedures to align with local requirements. Risk Assessment and Management
Conduct thorough risk assessments in accordance with Middle-Eastern and African standards to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate controls. Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management plan tailored to the local context. Incident Investigation and Reporting:
Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring compliance with Middle-East and Africa reporting requirements. Prepare detailed incident reports for submission to relevant local authorities. Emergency Response Planning:
Develop and maintain emergency response plans that align with Middle-Eastern and African standards, taking into account local conditions and resources. Coordinate and participate in emergency response drills to ensure preparedness. Training and Awareness:
Design and deliver QHSE training programs specific to Middle-Eastern and African regulations for employees at all levels. Promote a strong QHSE culture by fostering awareness and understanding of local requirements. Auditing and Continuous Improvement:
Conduct regular QHSE audits, ensuring compliance with Middle-Eastern and African standards and regulations. Collaborate with department heads to implement corrective actions and continually improve QHSE performance. Diversity & Inclusion

The Individual
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety). Extensive experience (minimum 7 years) in a similar QHSE role in Middle-East and Africa, specifically within the Oil & Gas or Manufacturing sector. Demonstrating a strong understanding of local regulations. Proficient knowledge of Middle-Eastern and African QHSE standards and the ability to interpret and apply them effectively. Excellent communication skills in English. Proven experience in liaising with local regulatory bodies and managing compliance matters. KEY COMPETENCIES:
