Role Overview:
The QHSE Lead is responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing the company Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Management System. The QHSE Lead will be fully responsible for delivering the quality process support and implementing safe systems of work and safe behavioral practices at all levels during the project duration.
This position is to provide QHSE guidance to the organisation and supports the operations process to maintain and continually improve the quality process, safety culture and performance in line with the organisation’s needs to comply with business objectives in the short, medium, and long terms and in accordance with the terms of our customer contracts.
What you'll do:
Monitor and improve the Quality, Health, Safety & Environment objectives, and performance in compliance with local legislation, customer regulations, and company policies.
Liaise and coordinate with Project Managers/Location Managers/Service Managers/Service Team Leaders to ensure compliance with Aggreko’s QHSE policies and QHSE Management System.
Conduct in depth investigation for all HSE related incidents and liaise with the customer representative, local management teams, health, and safety regulatory authorities and the respective QHSE Officer for creation and implementation of immediate and corrective action plans.
Liaise with the suppliers, contractors, and service providers for all QHSE related requirements in conjunction with the QHSE Officer.
Conduct internal QHSE inductions at a local level encompassing all relevant staff, contractors, and sub – contractors.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders as required in preparation for Quality Plan, Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan, Risk Assessments and Method Statements as per the scope of work.
Liaise with Aggreko sales team and customer representatives and prepare and support completion of Pre-Qualification questionnaires along with the required documents to support customer requirements.
Provide proactive support and guidance on all QHSE related issues within the project location(s) with the QHSE Officer.
Carry out project QHSE inspections and ensure that corrective actions are highlighted and managed.
Carry out and support QHSE audits and inspections in conjunction with QHSE Officer as and when required.
Plan and lead toolbox talk and QHSE review meetings with relevant Aggreko personnel and contractors at the project location(s).
Visit and attend to customer project location(s) as and when required.
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
College/Associate degree in related field or equivalent qualifications.
Minimum three years of experience in a related field.
Qualified in either NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or NEBOSH Diploma is required.
Possession of a valid local Driving License as per the need of the business.
Availability to travel frequently as and when required within UAE, Oman & India.
Has knowledge or experience in mechanical or electrical fields or both is desired.
An individual with people management skills, problem-solving and analytical abilities, planning, attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of stakeholders (internal and external)
