Job Summary
QC (Quality Control) Inspector is responsible for Torque Master inspection, ICT inspection, First Article Inspection, Review Material Test certificates, Batch Inspection, carry out in-process audit, Receiving Inspection, Assembly parts Inspection, Receiving OS in JDE (JD Edwards), Raising NCRs (Non Conformance Report) (Non-Conformance Report) for in-house and supplier products, Shipping NCRS, Finished Parts Inspection, Calibration and control of gauge, training machinists to use profile projectors for thread profile inspection and dimensions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Torque Master assembly parts inspecting. ICT assembly part inspection. Receiving inspection from Hub. Inspect first off and do first article inspections. Review Material test certificates with respect to the PO (PURCHASE ORDER) and Drawing requirements. Batch inspection before outsourcing. Carry out in-process audits on the shop floor. Inspect goods inwards including OP/OS, etc. to the relevant drawings and PO requirements. Receiving OS in JDE. Raise NCRs for both in-house products and supplier products in JDE. Raise shipping NCRs for intercompany orders. Inspects finished parts and document inspection. Upload Qc documents on ONBASE. Pass parts off using JDE. Update procedures and specs when required. Train machinists on the purpose of the profile projector of inspecting thread profiles and other dimensions. Train machinists on the use of the mails, track for setting thread rolls for inspecting thread functional roll dimensions. Inspection of NCR (Non-Conformance Report) parts for assembly and suggest rework. Assembly parts inspection before beginning assembly. Inter-company parts receiving inspection before getting them in stock. Buyout parts – QA Documentation review. Carry out MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) and PT (Penetrant Testing) as per the requirements shown in QA plans. Phosphate unit titration and control phosphate process as per specification requirements. Review and control shot peening process as per specification requirements. Raw material MTC review of the inventory parts. Comply with NOV (National Oilwell Varco) HSEQ Policy and Safety Procedures to avoid incidents and accidents. Maintain clean and orderly work area. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
MS Industrial Engineering and Management BE Mechanical Engineering Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Good communication in English - written and verbal. EXPERIENCE:
5+ years’ experience in precision metal parts inspection.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
Have good machine shop knowledge. CNC machine shop experience Level II certification in LPT and MPI Capable of using precision measuring instruments used by the Quality department. Can read and interpret Drawings and specifications. Work independently.
