With clients in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Jordan, we are basing our centre of excellence in Abu Dhabi, and looking to grow a multidisciplinary team, which can draw upon the expertise from Atkins Middle East and the wider Atkins Nuclear community.We are seeking to expand our pool of engineers and scientists, who can liaise directly with our clients, lead technical packages of work, and develop trusting relationships to enable us to grow our work portfolio.ResponsReporting to our Technical lead, the role will be to lead and oversee construction and commissioning work being undertaken on a critical structure on our clients site. Typical responsibilities will include:Working closely with our core project team in Abu Dhabi to fully understand the specific design, constraints, stakeholders and scheduleOverseeing the contractors installation and construction processes are in line with the design standards, site standards and regulator standardsResponding to Technical Queries (TQs) within the area of expertise, and identifying support to respond on areas outside of technical competenceEnsuring Quality Assurance documentation is of the highest standard and an auditable trail for construction and commissioning is capturedReview of as built drawings to ensure changes have been captured and identifiedReport on progress against schedule and identify early any issues which might affect the progressFacilitate between contractors the agreed terminations pointsLiaise with construction site personnel to ensure that parallel construction activities are de-conflictedHost visits from the larger Atkins team, providing structured walk-downs of design installation activitiesReview and witness site acceptance testing procedures on behalf of the ownerReview and witness in-active and active commissioni Essential ReqStrong safety track record and demonstrable ability to positively influence safety culture on a construction site;Degree qualified in a construction or civil engineering discipline;Construction experience where high levels of QA documentation is required;Experience of leading and working in multicultural teams;Clean police record in the UAEDesirable ReqExperience of nuclear constructionStrong English communications skills (written and verbal)Rewards &Atkins competitive core benefots package includes:A competitive salaryAccommodation allowanceTransportation allowance22 working days annual leave (based on 5 day working week)Medical and life insurance coverCompany gratuity schemeDiscretionary bonus schemeAnnual flight allowance to point of origin About The Company Atkins is one of the leading providers of professional, technology based consultancy and support services to the industry, commerce and governments in all of the world’s major economies.
