Job Responsibilities:
Managing the procurement processes of multiple global projects across DP World’s business portfolio.
Ensuring all procurement-related contracts deliver the best value to DP World (completed on time, on budget and quality as per the agreed scope of works)
Ensuring all tenders are conducted in a fair, transparent, auditable, and ethical manner (as per the Group Procurement Policy).
Collaborating with key project stakeholders (including Project Management, Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Insurance, Commercial, Finance, and Business Units) to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Reporting progress throughout the project-related procurement phases to relevant project stakeholders.
To keep up to date and current with latest regulations, standards, legal requirements etc.
Support Internal and Government Audits with any project-related procurement queries.
Establish trusted relationships with project stakeholders and counterparts in global procurement departments across the Group.
Conduct cost control and value engineering activities in all relevant procurement phases.
Provide support to the Group Procurement Dept. for developing policies and procedures, process improvement and document standardization initiatives
The Contract Manager will be responsible for specific tasks in each project-related procurement phase, as explained herein:
Job Requirements:
Bachelor (or higher degree) in Civil Engineering (BEng (hons))
Knowledge of and relevant training in Contract Management (such as FIDIC certification)
Minimum of 10 years of experience in contrac
t management roles within large multinational organizations.
Proven track record of successfully delivering high-value commercial contracts (specifically within the construction sector).
Proven technical background and track record in contract administration and contract management activities (specifically within the construction sector).
Demonstrable knowledge of procuring major capital equipment and civil projects.
A demonstrable track record of delivering savings through best value procurement in a multi customer and service orientated environment.
Demonstrable knowledge of international contract law, procurement legislation (regionally or globally) and practices.
Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.
Proven ability to resolve project-related issues, decision making, and prioritizing deliverables.
Proven proficiency in MS Office products and experience with presenting to project stakeholders and senior management.
