Role : Technical Lead Core Banking Solutions
Location: Abu Dhabi Role Purpose:Plans and provides support and closely interacts with Regtech & Business Operations Platforms to develop or participate or contribute for the strategic Plan and business plans of the Core and related applications.
Ensures the implementation of the Business Plans using the best fit optimum technology, in conjunction with Project Managers, Technical Resources, and Business Resources and with Vendors in the agreed time frames.
Oversee and direct, in conjunction with the respective Systems Analysts / Programmers or the analysis of business requirements, development of functional and program specifications, relational database design, programming, testing, implementation and documentation for the Core applications.
Implement short-gap or bespoke system for the continuity in Business Operations, where the vendor is not capable to provide appropriate solutions.
Ensure the application of SDLC Standards.
Operational Excellence:
Supporting Core Banking Solutions, and related applications, Co-ordinate Vendor Support Issues, implements Enhancements and customization.
Manage the Incidents with the assistance of the System Analysts, Programmers to resolve them, convert them into known errors and design appropriate escalation procedures.
Recommend applicable ITIL standards or other suitable standards for the IT Infrastructure in terms of, but not limited to, Operational Planning, Availability Planning, Change Control Planning etc.
Work to schedule and assign Staff to ensure that applications satisfy Users’ needs and are completed within agreed upon time parameters.
Ensures that availability and performance targets are met for all Core Systems and that optimum service levels are required.
Assist department line manager during leaves.
Manage initiatives for Core Banking Solutions from performance and availability prospective.
Others:
Execute the ad-hoc instructions or provide flexibility within ethical and professional standards from line manager to achieve any exceptional business objectives, Internal IT Objectives related to ADIB group including international expansion Key Accountabilities of the role
Strategy and Operational Planning
Actively participate and provide inputs for the operational plans.
Formulation of correct IT Project Plans with resource and necessary budget planning
Project Execution
Responsible for the preparations of Project Planning Documents, Scheduling, Resources Planning, Cost Estimating and Budgeting, RISK Management for the Vendor acquired Systems for E-Banking and Cards Department. Implement ITIL standards wherever applicable for the Software related issues.
In-house Application Development
Act as a design lead and procure accurate, unambiguous Business Requirements from the Business units and break them by WBS to assign the tasks to System Analyst/Programmers for delivery
Operational Support
Implement measures, relevant KPI’s and other controls to monitor the performance of the application.
Continuously monitor and enhance the technology, policies, and procedures of the supporting infrastructure to provide the optimum returns for the Stakeholders.
Identify and resolve application related security weaknesses
Ensures his team’s completion of Progress Reports and other required documentation.
Relationship Management
Engage with Business units on periodic basis and act as single point of contact (SPOC) for IT Requirement handling. Address business escalations by working with internal stakeholders and vendors. Have periodic meeting to discuss key strategic initiatives, product enhancements and road-map, provide information on new technology trends. Ensure that actions are assigned and completed as per agreed plan. Recommend new and innovative technology ideas to business that supports business growth and revenue.
Business Continuity and System Availability
Ensure conducting periodic system health check, Ensure DR documentation up to date, Ensure conducting periodic DR, contribute in the DR activity execution
Application Vendor Management
Ensure periodic Vendor meetings are held with proper MoM that covers discussion points, decision points and actions. Ensure that actions are assigned and completed as per agreed plan. He is responsible for managing RFP creation, Vendor identification, Vendor proposal evaluation, Contracting, Scope articulation, Vendor on-boarding, Vendor project management.
