Create and update technical documentation for software applications, APIs, hardware products, and other technical systems. Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy of technical content. Translate technical concepts and jargon into easy-to-understand documentation for a diverse audience, including end-users, administrators, and developers. Organize and structure documentation effectively, using formatting, graphics, and multimedia elements as needed to enhance readability and comprehension. Maintain version control and ensure documentation is kept up-to-date with product releases and changes. Conduct reviews and quality assurance checks to verify accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines. Assist in developing and maintaining internal documentation standards, templates, and processes. Create and maintain standard operating procedures related to SOC operations.What you will need to succeed:5+ years of a technical writer, creating documentation for software products, APIs, or technical systems. Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Slack). Knowledge of markup languages such as Markdown, XML, or HTML is a plus.
