The Role
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee and manage the housekeeping operations of our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for both guests and staff. Job Responsibilities: • Supervise and lead the housekeeping team, providing guidance, training, and support. • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and excellence. • Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any issues or concerns promptly. • Develop and implement efficient cleaning schedules for all areas of the facility. • Ensure that cleaning procedures and standards are consistently met. • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, and coordinate timely replenishment. • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained. • Address and resolve customer or staff complaints related to housekeeping services. • Implement corrective actions as needed to improve performance and service quality. • Provide ongoing training to housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols. • Stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate new methods or technologies as appropriate. • Assist in the development of the housekeeping budget. • Monitor expenses, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of housekeeping activities. • Communicate effectively with front desk staff to prioritize room cleaning and turnover. • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards. • Implement and enforce proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Housekeeping Manager or in a similar role. • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, procedures, and equipment. • Familiarity with health and safety regulations. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed. • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
